Getting Started for New Players
This game combines a falling-block puzzle with a party RPG. You need to get comfortable with the puzzle controls and build a solid team, but early on it's perfectly fine to focus on learning the controls first.
1. Play through the tutorial ("How to Play")
Tap "How to Play" on the home screen for a hands-on tutorial where you learn by actually touching the board. Getting a first taste of the five core concepts here — merges, chains, elements, skills, and leaders — makes everything afterwards much easier to follow. It only takes a few minutes.
2. Learn the board controls
- Drag left or right: move the falling jewels one column at a time
- Tap the board: rotate the jewels 90 degrees (the game nudges the piece so rotation still works against a wall)
- Swipe down: drop instantly (hard drop)
- Press and hold downward: drop slowly (soft drop)
The "Current" and "NEXT" displays at the top of the board show the piece that's falling now and the ones coming up. Watching those and planning two or three moves ahead makes chains much easier to set up.
3. Line up matching numbers — that's your attack
When jewels with the same number end up next to each other, they merge and double (2+2→4, 4+4→8, and so on). The moment they merge, the allies whose element matches that jewel attack. If the merged result lands next to another matching number, you get a chain — and the longer the chain runs, the higher your damage multiplier climbs.
4. Concentrate elements rather than spreading them out
One mechanic matters more than almost anything else: the element gate. Merging Fire jewels does zero damage if there's no Fire ally on your team. Early on you won't have many allies, so make a point of always fielding an ally for the element you plan to attack with. For leader and sub-leader, pick characters whose skills have the highest multipliers.
5. Stuck? Look at leveling and evolution
Enemy HP jumps sharply at chapter boundaries (every 5 stages). When your current team can't push through anymore, good options include grinding levels in the EXP dungeon (open at set times of day), collecting evolution materials for Resonance and Apex evolution, and raising skill levels to shorten cooldowns.
Also, if you lose you can continue for a single magic stone. You resume with the boss's HP still knocked down, so use it when you're one push away from the kill.
